Blooming Greens School runs a fine blend of the British and Nigerian curricular with much emphasis on the British curriculum. It is designed to enhance critical thinking and at the same time highly motivating and inspiring. We deliver a well-rounded British curriculum in the core subjects such as Literacy, Numeracy and Science. However, subject areas in the Humanities Department such as Geography, History, Social Studies, and Local and Indigenous Languages make use of a fine blend of international contents and the Nigerian curriculum. This affords all pupils the tools to achieve and excel.
The scope of subjects delivered, captures the valued areas of the Nigerian curriculum, embracing the appreciation of the Nigerian culture, respect and tolerance. This effectively produces global children who thrive in any part of the world. The school incorporates new learning objectives while embracing innovative teaching approaches and methodologies. Each lesson is carefully planned and differentiated with the aim of taking care of all categories of learners in the class. Learning objectives are clearly stated at the beginning of every lesson and the objectives are assessed to ascertain the degree of mastery at the end of the lesson.
Conscious efforts are made to allow children to collaborate, research, synthesize and evaluate, using a range of hands-on and other resources to support and enhance the cognitive development of pupils. Each pupil’s attainment is then carefully monitored and tracked using a range of statistical formal and informal tools.
